Judg 6:14-16 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
15 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
16 And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

Gideon had answered God’s call. Gideon was sure because he specifically asked God to show him and God answered with the fleece. Gideon had obeyed in sending most of his army away and was left with the three hundred. But Gideon like most of us must have wondered how God was going to use him to deliverer Israel from the enemy. Now we see that God had told Gideon something. (Judg 6:14 And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?) But what might? Gideon had no might to face the enemy. Or did he? (Judg 6:15-16 And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. 16 And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.) There is the night of Gideon, the strength of Gideon revealed for us in verse 16. “I will be with thee”. Gideon like so many others will be going out to battle in the strength of the Lord. Will you go out this day in the strength of the Lord? We are also in a battle and we will face many challenges today. Satan will try and move us away from the Lord today. Satan will put many temptations in front of us today. We will have our own flesh to contend with today. The world will attack us today. How can we have any chance of overcoming today? We must go out in the strength of the Lord. Will you spend time in His Word today? Will you pray today? Will you spend time with Jesus Christ before the battle begins today? Gideon was about to go out and it was a fearful thing for him I am sure. But Gideon was going out in the strength of the Lord. Who is your strength today?
