May 17th, 2023 by Pastor SolleyPs 102:7-12 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10 Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
12 But thou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

This morning we see that in his hour of loneliness David looked to the one who was bigger than any of the problems, any of the giants he would face in his life. (Ps 102:12 But thou, O Lord, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.) David faced many giants in his life and the one he is remembered for the most he faced alone. The army of Israel would be no help, the king no help, his brothers no help, David was alone. But David knew at that time he was not alone, the Lord God stood with David and it was with the strength and presence of the Lord that David ran toward Goliath. God was bigger than any giant, any problem David would ever face. Your God is bigger when the God you know in a personal way is Jesus Christ. Are your days filled with weeping? Are you withered like the grass when there has been no rain? Jesus is still bigger than any problem and still by your side when you know Him as your personal savior. David looked to the one standing beside Him, the one who was bigger than any problem he would ever have to face.
