John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
KJV
Another purpose in life for the believer in Christ this morning, a reason we are still here, a reason for us to continue on is so that others can see a joy that abides in us because of and through the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 17:13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.) So others can see in us the real joy of the Lord, a joy fulfilled because of our relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a joy that cannot be destroyed by the trials and struggles of this life. A joy that does not depend upon circumstances. A joy that comes only when one is abiding in Jesus Christ. Is that joy yours today? It can be. Remember just a few things that we have looked at this week. Do you live day by day in a way that brings glory to your heavenly Father? That will produce joy. Do you lives separated unto Him, in the world but not of the world? That will produce joy. Do you live in a way that is leading others to Jesus Christ? That will produce joy. We are still in this world so that we might have joy fulfilled and others can see and want that joy as well.
