Looking at the sure covenants of God this week we have looked at the sure covenant of His Word and the sure covenant of salvation. This morning consider the sure covenant of His abiding presence. (Heb 13:5-6 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.) To know that we are never alone, never alone in the storms of life, never alone on the battlefields of faith, never alone in times of distress, never alone in times of decision, never alone on the mountain top and never alone in the valley, never alone, never alone. Let that covenant be your joy today, that you as a child of God because of the new birth in Christ are never alone. Satan tries to trick us into feeling so lost and forsaken many times as we walk this pathway of life but that is all it is, a trick. My God has promised that He will never leave me alone, never leave His child alone. I was out for an early morning drive today and watched the beauty of the sunrise and thoughts of the God that created this world and made that beauty is the very same God who promised to never leave us alone, never leave me alone. That sure covenant is a great, great comfort and blessing.
