November 12th, 2010 by Pastor Solley2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18?And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19?To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
We have in these verses something most do not want to face today. That when a person gets saved, born again of the Spirit of God, there is a change in their lives, old things pass away and all things become new. But that is what the Bible says is it not? In this day of easy believism people want to say a prayer as if it is a few magic words and then just continue on in life as they always have. But that is not what happens when a person gets truly saved according to the Word of God. There is to be a change in a person. How can a person go through a birth and there not be a change? A baby is a baby in the mothers womb but there is a change that takes place when the birth takes place. The old way for that baby is gone and a new a better way begins. The same with the spiritual birth. There is to be that type of change. I do not even like to make this illustration but when a baby is still born, and there is no change that baby has no life. When a person says a prayer and there is no change it is an indication that there is no life. Has there been a change in your life dear friend? If you say no then get to the Bible, get to the living Word, get to the Savior and get saved.
