Isa 53:1-6 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Do you need a healing today? I have heard some claim verse five above for a physical healing and while I certainly do believe in Divine healing they miss the point of the passage. The healing promised in verse five for all who will place faith and trust in Jesus Christ is one that heals from the most deadly disease known to mankind. It is a healing promised for those afflicted by an incurable disease. It is a healing promised for a disease that always ends in death and then follows that one it kills for eternity. Note verse six. (Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.) It is a healing promised for the disease of sin, iniquity. (That word means sin.) We have a sin problem, a disease that will kill us. (Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.) The only cure is the Lord Jesus Christ, the only hope for healing is the Lord Jesus Christ. When Jesus died on that cross the sin of the world was placed upon Him and He paid the penalty for sin. Do you need a healing today? That answer is yes and that healing you first need concerns sin and your sin nature. I do believe in Divine healing and it begins with a healing of the disease of sin which is killing you and will follow your through an eternity in hell unless you repent and call out for Jesus to save you. Believe the report and be born again today.
