Jude 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

We noted that we have an eternal inheritance because we have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. We also have eternal consolation. (2 Thess 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,) Many, many, many things in this world bring much sadness to the heart of men both saved and lost. I have knelt beside the bedsides of those I loved and prayed for them to be well and watched as they took their last breath in this world and were welcomed into the arms of Jesus and shed many tears. I have lost some very good friends recently to death and while I know they are not lost still shed many tears. Problems with health at times bring tears. Many things in this world bring much sadness to the hearts of men and women. But there is coming a day when God shall wipe away all tears, when the things of this world will pass away and the time for sadness is forever gone. I look with great anticipation to the time of everlasting consolation and that helps dry the tears of today. Keep yourselves in the love of God dear brother and sister in Christ for there is coming a day of everlasting consolation.
