Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Another thought concerning this New Year. Do you want to be happy in this New Year? Many people I know are dealing with difficult circumstances that would seem to make happiness in 2023 a very distant thing. I know those who have lost loved ones over the past few weeks and some over the past few months. I know others who are dealing with very serious health issues. Some I know on fixed incomes are being overtaken by financial difficulties as prices continue to rise. Others are dealing with family situations that seem to be getting worse. Do you want to be happy in this New Year? The path to that happiness is found in our verse this morning. Enter into our covenant agreement with Jesus Christ and receive Him as your personal savior from sin and an eternity in hell. Put the Word of God in your heart, fall in love with your Bible and your Savior. Allow Him to be your Father and He will be a Father that will guide you, protect you, correct you when it is needed, and take care of you because He loves you. That does not mean that everything that happens in 2023 will be good in our eyes but it does mean that a loving and caring heavenly Father will carry us through and Jesus will be standing by our side. Become a true child of God and you will find true happiness.
