Daily Devotions
December 26th, 2022 by Pastor SolleyPs 31:1-3 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
3 For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.

We arrive once again at the end of a year and the beginning of another. So many things seem to be changing so fast here in America as our once Godly nation moves farther and farther away from our sure foundation which is the Lord Jesus Christ. And then the circumstances in our individual lives change as well. Over this past year many things have changed even in my own life. What will the New Year hold? No one can say but we can find in the Word of God a path that will lead us through the New Year which I would like to look at over the next few days. First, we need someone to trust in 2023. We know by experience it cannot be our fast eroding government. It can’t be the news media. It can’t be so many things people turn to in this day and age. We need to trust in the Lord and never be ashamed to let people know that He is the one we are following. David knew there was one he could trust. Faced with difficult circumstances, trust in the Lord. Faced with difficult decisions, trust in the Lord. Faced with danger, trust in the Lord. Faced with losses in you life, trust in the Lord. David experienced all of those things and in every situation David placed his trust in the Lord. The first thing we need is to renew our trust in the Lord. Let this be your standard in 2023, trust in the Lord, trust more in the Lord, trust more and more in the Lord. Even if you have dealt with many disappointments in 2022 trust in the Lord. Who else can you afford to put your trust in as we begin a New Year.
