2 Cor 6:1-2 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
KJV
Almost time to open those Christmas gifts, the accepted day is almost here. Is it time for you to finally open the gift that God has given to you, time for you to repent and receive Jesus Christ, is it finally the accepted time. I have carefully selected some gifts for my wife and they will be waiting for her on Christmas morning. What if she acknowledged those gifts, said she appreciated them, believed they were wonderful gifts, but never opened them? The price for the gifts would sill have been paid, they will have been set before her, she would be told that I love her as I present them, and then she never opened them. Those gifts would have been given in vain. I would still love her, still have paid the price, still have presented them, but the gifts would be in vain. Take note of verse one above and know that God loves you, paid a price for your sin so you could be saved and presented the gift of salvation to you. (John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.) His gift is there and He has set Him before you. (John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.) Is it time for you this very day to receive the gift of eternal life through the shed blood of Jesus Christ that has been set before you? This is a very special time for me, a very special week for me as fifty four years ago, just before Christmas, I was born again and received the best gift that has ever been offered. Is this the accepted day for you? Be born again today and receive God’s unspeakable gift.
