9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

When I think of Christmas time I think of joy. I remember the look of joy on the faces of our children when they were young and in our home on Christmas morning. I think of the joy on the faces of our grandchildren as we exchange gifts. I think of the joy of many Christmas days with my grandparents, parents, sister, and other family. When I think of Christmas I think of joy. I know this is going to be a difficult Christmas for many that I know as they have recently lost loved ones. Others have serious health problems in their families and in their own lives as well. It will even be a difficult Christmas for my wife and I in many ways as things have changed in our lives over this past year. But when I think of Christmas I think of joy. Joy because of Jesus, joy because He came into this world to provide salvation for all who will turn from sin and turn to Him. Joy because He is the way, the truth and the life. Joy because I am saved as well as those in our family. Joy because of a prayer recently answered that has been lifted up to Christ for more then twenty years. Our God is good, so very good and our God has given a gift in Jesus that will bring unspeakable joy if we give Him our life and keep our eyes on Him. When I think of Christmas I think of joy.
