Prov 18:24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

A little late this morning because of an early morning trip to a hospital in Pittsburgh to read the Bible and pray for a trusted friend before surgery today. I thank the Lord for so many brothers and sisters in Christ that He has given me and my family over the years, so many trusted friends. Of course our closest and truest friend is Jesus and that is the one pointed out in this verse. What a blessing to know Jesus as savior and to know that we can depend upon Him as our friend. Jesus is a friend who will near leave us, never let us down. I hope as you read this you will take a moment to mention my friend to the Lord in prayer. I will not give his name but Jesus knows and I thank Him today for His faithfulness to us all of the time.
