James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

How many of us ask wisdom of God? Much of the time we go about our business in this world depending upon the wisdom of men rather than the wisdom of God and when we do that we make decisions based on what man says and not on what God says and wants for us. How many things will you pray about today? The needs on our prayer list, the things we need we bring to the throne of grace for sure. But what of decisions you will be faced with today? How many things is God interested in that we will do today and how many things will God direct us in of asked? God will give wisdom, will give direction in all decisions we must make down to the smallest and including the life changing ones. But notice in our text that when we ask wisdom of God we are not to waver. (Verse 6) Meaning that we are to follow God’s leading. To ask and then ignore God’s direction, God’s wisdom would be like that wave of the sea that has no real direction and it is tossed about. How many of us ask wisdom of God? While I don’t know the answer to that I do know that we should all be asking wisdom of God.
