Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16?From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
17?This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18?Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:One of the keys to Christian growth is not being like the world, not walking as others walk. (Verse 17) Having a mind given to the things of the Lord, having a heart given to the Lord. I honestly believe the reason many Christians do not grow int eh Lord is because they do not want to. It will take a sacrifice of self and the world to grow in Jesus Christ. We can’t be like the world if we want to be like Jesus. Yet what do most Christians want today? To be as much like the world as possible. Dress like the world, go where the world goes, use the worlds music and language, on and on we cold go. If you want to grow up in Jesus you need to grow down so to speak as far as the world is concerned. Less of world, more of Jesus. More of Jesus less of the world.
