Lam 3:22-24 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

What new things await the child of God today? No one knows what this new day will hold. Will it be full of good things? Will it hold sorrow? Will there be questions we have no answer for? What will this new day hold? One thing we can be sure of is this new day will be full of God’s mercy and compassion. Whatever this new day holds the mercy and compassion of the Lord is ours brand new. We do not need to live on leftovers with God. We do not need depend upon past mercy. We do not have a God who has lost compassion for us. Those things are new every morning and I like most people like new things. I expect a good day today but I like everyone else have no idea what this day will actually hold. One thing for sure is that no matter how this day turns out I know it will be filled with the mercy and compassion of God. Hold onto that truth dear Christian when your days are good and hold onto that truth even tighter when your days are not so good. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
