How often are you found seeking the face of God? For sure we do when there is a need, when we are in trouble and have tried everyone and everything else, then we seek the Lord. We do when there are those close to us in need and we know we can not help them, then we seek the Lord. But that is not what the Bible commands us to do in this passage, we are commanded to seek the face of God continually. That means to be found in His presence continually, all of the time. Notice that we to give thanks to God continually. (Verse eight.) We are to give testimony as to the things God has done. (Verse eight and nine.) We are to praise Him. (Verse nine.) We are to give God glory and rejoice in Him. (Verse ten.) And we are to seek His face continually. How much time will you spend apart and alone with God today? How many will the times you will call out to Him today? Will you be found seeking the face of God continually or will you give God just a passing thought and a very brief moment in prayer? Many who claim God is not listening to them, not answering their prayers, are seldom found seeking the face of God. Let us seek God continually.
