June 9th, 2022 by Pastor SolleyPs 126:1-127:1 26 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them.
3 The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
KJV
Too many are the times when we focus on the storms of life and not the goodness of the Lord. We are by nature prone to look at the dark side of things, look at what we are going through at the moment, and forget all that God has done for us, is doing for us, and will do for us. According to verse one above there was captivity and according to verse two there was laughter. How can both be true at the same time? Because they remembered all that God had done. (Verse 3) They also remembered all that God had promised to do. (Verse 4) They knew that one day all the tears would be turned to joy. (Verse 5) No one is kept from all heartache and trials in this world, no one. But let us that know Him look past them and fasten our eyes on Christ. One day all our tears will be turned to joy so why not take joy in the Lord in the present? Lift your eyes above the storms of life dear Christian and fasten them on Jesus Christ.
