Matt 15:22-27 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.

I have heard from many who are lost and apart from Christ over the years that the world has more to offer than Jesus does. That one can receive more from the world than they can from Jesus. This thought may come in different words and different ideas but it is always the same, the world has more to offer than Jesus does. This woman did not think so and she was willing to bow before Jesus and receive whatever He would give her, even a crumb from off His table. (Verse 27) She knew that even the smallest gift from Jesus was and is worth more than all the riches this world has to offer. (Ps 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.) Her willingness to receive just a little would turn into much as we will see tomorrow. But what are you looking for today, what is missing in your life, where will you turn to fill that emptiness within? The world has many things to offer and many of them glitter like gold. But what the world gives is fools gold at best. Even the smallest thing we receive from Jesus is worth more than all the riches in this world. Why not bow before Him and receive what He will give as this woman was willing to do?
