16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Song 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
KJV
In our day we can see the many ravening wolves the Bible speaks about in Matt 7:15. The many who openly attack the foundation of the Word of God and try and stamp out faith in Jesus Christ. It seems they no longer come in sheep’s clothing but clearly show what they are and their evil intentions. But in focusing on those ravening wolves it becomes easy to miss the little foxes that also enter in and attack, the little foxes that spoil the vines. We must be careful not to allow them to enter into our lives, little things that seem perhaps to be harmless but still move us little by little away from the Lord. Little things that we may perhaps not even notice but they eat away under the surface and undermine our walk with the Lord. I can clearly see the wolves today. But what of the little foxes that I have missed and they have entered into my life and given time will do even more damage than those wolves I am so alert to and fight to keep out? Take heed of the little foxes.
