42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

We conclude our study this week with Jesus weeping over Jerusalem. (Verse 41) Why? Why was Jesus weeping? Those ones for whom Jesus wept would soon be crying out for Him to be crucified. Those ones would ask for a thief and murderer to be released instead of Jesus. Those ones would mock Jesus. Why would Jesus weep for them? Because of the hold that Satan had upon them, because their minds were blinded, because there was a spirit of unbelief that completely took them over. Because Satan would have them attack one who had done and was willing to do so much for them, even save them from an eternity in hell. Jesus wept over them. How many are the tears that must run down the face of Jesus today when He sees the hold that Satan and sin has upon people? Satanic attacks have only increased today as Satan sees his time drawing to a close. What should we be doing? Weeping for those who are in the very same condition as those of Jesus day. Weep and pray for the lost. Weep and pray for so many today who fight against the only one able to help them.
