Matt 24:6-13 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
KJV
Another thing we need to do as we see before us the beginning of sorrows is to trust God to take care of us. Wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, and more are here and will be coming until the rapture. Who is going to take care of us? Trust the Lord. (Ps 91:1-4 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.) I talked with one the other day that indicated he was afraid to leave his home. We have never been commanded to cower in fear as believers in Christ. When fear overtakes us it replaces and kills faith. When faith is replaced by fear it will keep us from worship, keep us from service, keep us from witnessing to the lost, and keep us from the peace in Christ we have been promised. (John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.) We can have this peace promised by Christ even while tribulations takes place all around us when we trust in Him.
