Mark 11:22-26 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
KJV
What is it that hinders prayer? Some things are addressed in this passage. “Have faith in God.” That statement, when it is true in our lives should remove any doubt in our minds that God is able. (Verse twenty three.) Doubts, fears, questions and the like come easily into our minds when we are facing trials in our lives, when there are needs in our lives. There are times when Satan seems to have free and unlimited access to our minds. Those are very dangerous times for any believer in Christ because they tear away at the foundation of our faith. Faith and doubt do not go together so I need to “Have faith in God.” I need to be reminded who it is that resides now in my heart, in your heart if you are born again. I need ask and at times plead earnestly for all doubt to be removed from my mind as to the ability of my heavenly Father, I need to “Have faith in God.” The mountains in front of you today can be cast into the sea, but only by faith. I remember a song that speaks of mountain moving faith and it seems to me that when doubt is removed that God is able and that He does all things well those mountains are removed. What hinders our prayers? Doubt is one of the things addressed here.
