Ps 91:14-16 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
KJV
Are you satisfied in Christ, with Christ? Many seem to be unsatisfied today. It is so easy to look at the world, look at others, look away from the blessings of the Lord and become unsatisfied. One way to cure that is to look at what you do have and how you have been and are blessed. This beautiful Psalm ends with a statement from the Lord “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” I think the reference to a long life goes past a number of years to a long life of blessings as well, a life of satisfaction. We find that when we look more at the blessings of the Lord in our lives instead of focusing on the world or on others. I can always find someone else that has more material things than I have, more wealth and so on. But when I look at the what Christ has done for me I begin to find satisfaction. I was born to loving parents and had loving grandparents. My sister and I grew up in a traditional home. Good churches and loving church families. A Christian wife, children who know the Lord, grandchildren. Then permitted although undeserving to serve the Lord in a small way. Then those seven words from yesterday “I will be with him in trouble”. Is there more that I should look for or should I be satisfied?
