KJV
Fifty six times in our King James Bible we find this phrase “Hath said”. The first time it is used we find reference to the command of God that Adam and Eve not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge that was in the Garden of Eden. Here Satan will cast doubt in the mind of Eve as to the truth of what God told them. Eve changed the Word of God, added to what God had said, and then disobeyed the clear command of God. Satan cast doubt in the mind of Eve and that brought the fist sin. The last time the phrase “Hath said” is used in the Bible is in Hebrews chapter thirteen. (Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) Satan is working just as hard today to cast doubt in the minds of God’s children as to the truth set before us in this verse as he was the Garden of Eden with Eve. Satan is also effective today in getting God’s children to doubt this truth. Why are so many professing believers is such discouragement today? Why so many questions as to what God is doing or allowing today? Why do so many try and face the problems of our day alone? Don’t allow doubt to come into your mind as to the truth that you are not alone, that God has forsaken you, that God doesn’t care about you. Don’t make the same mistake Eve made, believe God and take comfort in His presence as well as in His Word today.
