Ps 116:13-19 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.
14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.
15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
16 O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.
18 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people,
19 In the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
KJV
What makes it a precious day when a loved one is delivered to heaven? The rejoicing that they have. The Bible says that there is joy in the presence of the angels when one is born again.
(Luke 15:10) I cannot begin to imagine the rejoicing when that one is welcomed into the presence of the Lord. The rejoicing when those nail scared hands are extended to them, when they feel the loving arms of Jesus around them, when they see the face of the one who gave His life and shed His blood for them. I am holding a grandchild in my arms while I am typing this and it brings me joy today. What of the joy and rejoicing in heaven when the savior holds one of His children in His arms. Precious.
