10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Psalm 84:11 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible especially in troubling times. “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Not all that takes place in our lives will we count as good. Loss of loved ones, loss of health to name just two are hardly ever counted as good. They are natural occurrences of life and the Christian is not exempt from them. But when we place our trust and faith in the Lord we can find blessings in every situation, in every circumstance and trial of life. When I trust in Him then I can believe the truth set before me in verse eleven above, “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.” All that comes into my life my savior has allowed, all that takes place He knows about, and He will allow only that which is good for me. I must confess that I don’t completely understand this but I can also proclaim that I do believe it. My God is in control of all things and my part in only to trust in Him. When I do trust then I am blessed and when I cannot see the blessings of life I know in my heart that I am not trusting as I should.
