1 Peter 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Another way to resist Satan is to seek out and follow the will of God so we will be found living a life different than the world. (1 Peter 4:1-2 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; (2 ) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.) What is the will of God for you, for me? That we no longer live according to the flesh, no longer follow man, but that we be devoted to God. When we begin to follow the will of God in this way, and that is His will for all the redeemed in Christ, we will begin to see deeper and deeper in the God’s will and we will be changed. Those who see us will even think it strange the changes that have taken place in our lives. (1 Peter 4:4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:) Our very lives will make us part of a resistance movement. Pick up your Bible today, read what is the will of God concerning the way we live, talk, act, dress and much more and become part of the resistance against Satan.
