Heb 5:13-14 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
KJV
Another gift so many seem to neglect today is the ability, because of the Holy Spirit within, to discern good and evil. The word means to make a distinction between good and evil and then to chose good. The child of God knows, by the conviction of the Holy Spirit within, by the written Word of God, what is good and what is evil. Not what the world says is good, but what God says is good. Not what the world says is evil, but what God says is evil. But how few today want to stand against the tide of evil that is taking over every part of society and even the church. God still hates evil, still hates sin and the believer in Christ needs to speak out and stand against evil instead of turning a blind eye and deaf ear. What is wrong with upholding Biblical standards? That is not being judgmental or legalistic, that is being discerning just as God wants us to be. It is also being loving according to the Bible.
