Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
KJV
We have just scratched the surface in looking at what Jesus has given to us this past week. Jesus gave His life, Jesus lives for us who have received Him as our personal savior today. Jesus did things that go beyond what we would consider reasonable for us. Now, what is reasonable for me to give to Him? Is it reasonable for me to give my life to Him? Is it reasonable for me to separate from sin for Him? Is it reasonable for me to turn away from the world for Him? Is it reasonable for me to set my mind on Him? Is it reasonable for me to seek the will of God in my life for Him? These things are more than reasonable when I consider what Jesus Christ has done for me. Yet there can be more. What if I were asked to go to a mission field? Would that be reasonable? What if I were asked to pastor a church? Would that be reasonable? What if I were asked to be one who stood up and stood in the gap today? Would that be reasonable? What if I were asked to be just faithful in the house of God? Would that be reasonable? Even if I were asked to lay all on the altar of sacrifice it would be more than reasonable in light of all Jesus has done for me. What is reasonable for you today?
