2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

I have been thinking as we begin what is called the Christmas season and people think of all that means to them, of family, of gifts, of decoration and the like, of all the world makes of Christmas and then of what Christmas should be about to the born again believer in Christ. The Bible speaks here of a gift, a sacrifice to God. (Verse one above.) This a gift we are to present, a sacrifice we are to make. And then the Bible tells me it is a reasonable gift, a reasonable sacrifice. My mind then goes to this question; what is reasonable? What is reasonable for me to give to God? To answer that, and we will, I must determine what God has given to me. What was reasonable for God, what was reasonable for Jesus to give to me will determine what is reasonable I return to Him. I begin with Jesus coming into this world which is what the Christmas season is all about. Was it reasonable for the King of kings, the Lord of Lords, the creator of all to leave heaven and come into this world? Jesus has been praised, honored, worshiped, and lifted up from the time the angels were created. They cried daily before Him holy, holy, holy, they continually praised His name. He is God and is above all. Heaven which is His home is without darkness, without sin, is perfect in every way and Jesus is perfect in every way. Today just this question; was it reasonable for Jesus to leave heaven? Was it reasonable to leave what is perfect to come into what is evil? Was it reasonable to leave a place where He is lifted up as God, as King, to come to a place where he would be seen as just a little baby? Was it reasonable to leave His throne to be born in a manger? Was that, is that reasonable? Before I begin to determine what is reasonable for me to give I need to think of what was reasonable for Jesus to give. So, is it reasonable for Jesus to come into this world?
