Mal 3:1-6 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.
6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Apologies for no devotional yesterday as I was away from my desk. Getting back to things that never change because our God never changes. The message that man needs to hear never changes. (Verse one above.) The prophets of the Old Testament, John the Baptist in the New Testament, the apostles, and born again believers in Christ today preach an unchanging message. People need the Lord, people need salvation, people need the gospel message. Note what the Bible says in verse one “Whom ye seek”. People are searching, looking, longing for that which is missing in their lives. They try and fill the empty place within with worldly good and pleasures, with fun and good times, with whatever they can find and nothing works. Governments claim they have the answers but give only more emptiness and they never keep their promises. People are searching and what they need is the old, old message. They need to know that emptiness is caused by sin that separates them from God. They need to know of a savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. They need to know of the cross, the shed blood and the empty tomb. They need to know of repentance and turning to Jesus Christ and Him alone for salvation. The message has never changed. All those Old Testament sacrifices pointed to the coming Son of God and the sacrifice He would make on the cross. John the Baptist pointed to that Lamb of God that would take away the sin of the world. The apostles proclaimed that gospel message of salvation in Christ. That message has never and will never change. Praise God for an unchanging message as well as an unchanging salvation in Jesus Christ.
