There was a saying of my youth that I heard many times over from my elders, “Mark my words”. It was said when someone wanted to make sure you heard what they said and that you knew what they said would come to pass, that it was true. I heard my grandparents say it many times over, my parents would say it less frequently, and today it is something that is very seldom heard. Is there something that we can mark today, words that we can mark today? Looking about at the world scene it would seem that the answer to that question is no. Looking at society today it would seem that answer to be no. But there are still words that can be marked. We can mark the Word as well as the Words of God to be sure and true. What God says will happen will happen. What God says about sin is true, what God says about salvation is true, what God says is true. But how much of what God says is true? Every Word of God needs to be marked and for that you can “Mark these words”.
