7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
9 Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

Feet set in a large room. Does it ever seem as if the world is closing in on you? That there is trouble on every side? That you are surrounded by lying vanities as it says in verse six? How can one rejoice in such times, how can one be glad when the world seems to be closing in and there is not one to be trusted? We can be glad and rejoice when we remember that we have been set in a large room by the Lord. Let us look around this large room for a moment. There is found in this room the salvation provided for us by the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood on the cross and there is room for all who will call upon the name of Jesus to forgive and save. There is found in this large room the provision we need for a lifetime in this world. Not all the riches of this world, but all that we will ever need He will provide. There is found in this large room so many blessings that we cannot even begin to count them. Blessings that come from knowing Jesus Christ as our personal savior. There is found in this large room answered prayers and prayers that will be answered. When we call upon Him He does hear and prayer does move His hand. There is found in this large room rewards that will one day be ours because we do know Jesus. My Bible says that there is a mansion being prepared in an eternal home where they will be no more sorrow, no tears, only joy for all eternity. I can rejoice this morning because my feet have been set in a large room and when the world begins to close in I just retreat into this large room provided by my savior.
