Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me .
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.
And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Somebody touched Jesus in faith and something, virtue, was gone out of Him. My thoughts here may be hard to relate but think of this for a moment. The God of heaven, the creator of the world, the inexhaustible Christ is making His way through this large gathering of people. Many were touching Jesus as He made His way the multitude. Jesus loved all these people, came to die for all of them, would meet the needs of everyone of them. But when one unnoticed woman reached out and touched Him in faith Jesus knew it. When He asked who it was that was for the benefit of the disciples for Jesus knew all the time. Jesus wanted them to know, wanted us to know that when we reach out to Him in faith we have His undivided attention. Jesus came to meet the need of the world that is true. But He stands ready to meet our individual need and to give us His undivided attention.
