2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

What is it that you can be sure of today? Death and taxes as the old saying goes. But the Bible gives us some things we can be sure of and they are more sure than even death and taxes.
1. The foundation of God standeth sure as we see above. The Lord knows who are His and His foundation which we are standing on by the blood of Jesus Christ is sure, it will never fail or fall.
2. The testimonies of the Lord are sure. (Ps 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.) We can depend upon the testimonies of the Lord, the Word of God. My King James Bible gives me that which is sure.
3. My dwelling place is sure. (Isa 32:18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;) Not my earthly dwelling place but the mansion Jesus is preparing for me in heaven is sure.
4. The anchor of my soul is sure. (Heb 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;) Never can I be moved away from Jesus Christ, never will that anchor allow me to drift out of His love and salvation.
5. The reward of the righteous is sure. (Prov 11:18 The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.) This world holds nothing sure but there is a reward in heaven that is sure for the believer in Jesus Christ.
What can you be sure of today? When you look to Jesus Christ, when you look to the Word of God you can find more to be sure of than death and taxes.
