Luke 2:19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

We conclude this week long study of mothers with Mary and her example of faith. Mary pondered about the things that were happening in her life, the things that were said of the little one she had been used to bring into this world, Mary had a great deal to ponder, to think about. What she did was place her faith in the Lord. Imagine being engaged to marry and finding out you were expecting but were still a virgin. What to do? Trust God. The baby close to being born and having to travel to Bethlehem. What to do? Trust God. Listening to the prophecy of Simeon in Luke two. What to do? Trust God. Then having to move away from all they had known to Egypt. What to do? Trust God. Mary never questions God, never doubts God, Mary trusted God. What a woman of faith and trust. In this world today with all the unknowns, with evil ever on the increase, with all that our children and grandchildren must face. What to do? Trust God. Thank the Lord for mothers of faith and trust, they are needed more today than ever.
