Job 19:23-24 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
KJV
Think for a moment about what Job said here, that his words be written and printed in a book. That those words would be graven in a rock for ever. That would mean that forever one could look at what Job said and those words would never change. Job could never be misquoted, his words could never be disputed, they could never be changed. Always and forever Job’s words would be true and the same. What Job said became eternal truth for those words are recorded in the eternal Word of God. As I read my King James Bible today I read unchanging words, eternal words, true words. Man has tried to destroy those words, dilute those words, ignore those words, change those words, but they are graven in stone and given by God to man. They are here for ever! That is why I will look to my Bible and know there is only one way to heaven, through the blood of Jesus Christ. That is why I will look to my Bible and see that Jesus loved and loves us so much He would suffer and die for us while we are lost in sin. That is why I will look to my Bible and see eternal life in Jesus Christ. Every answer to every question man has is found in the Bible, in God’s eternal and unchanging truth. That is why I will look to my Bible. Where do you look for truth today? Only God’s words are graven with an iron pen. So many seem to be searching for answers today but always looking in the wrong places. Why not look at those words graven in stone for ever?
