Heb 4:9-11 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
KJV
This rest is certainly what we as Christians are looking forward to, a sweet, sweet rest in the Lord. But as we see the time of this rest drawing closer and closer what should our attitude be? Is it time now to put up our feet and relax as we wait for this rest? Is it time to look at the Bible and see and know the time is very short? What are we to do as we see our rest in the Lord getting closer anc closer? The answer to that is in verse eleven, work. We are not to stop short of the finish line, not to ease up as the race draws to a close, we are to work. Why? So we can get others to see Jesus Christ, so we can see more souls saved by the blood of Jesus, so we can finish well. It is not yet time for us to rest, it is time to get busy for the Lord.
