January 14th, 2021 by Pastor Solley2 Kings 13:20-21 And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.
21 And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.

What can revival do? What does personal revival mean for those around us and those that follow us? Elisha was a man of God who never saw the revival he prayed for in Israel but at the same time experienced personal revival. Elisha walked with God, worshiped God, served God, Elisha was a man of revival. What did his life amount to, what did his walk with God do for those around him and those that followed him? Elisha had a very strong influence on many people he came into contact with during his life. Read the Bible record and you will find that to be true. But now, long after his death we see that there was still influence from the man of God. I don’t expect to see that type of miracle today but I do see the influence of Godly people upon others long after they have died. I think often of those men and women who shaped my life and the influence they still have on me today and they are now in heaven. What can revival do in our lives and for those around us? We can have a great influence for God even after we have passed from this world into one much better.
