Isa 9:6-7
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
KJV
What type of peace are you looking for today? I have not in my life seen a time when so many of God’s people lack peace. We expect the world to be searching for peace, but why the Christian? This virus is real, but so many have allowed it to rob them of the peace God wants to give them in Christ. The survival rate is above 99.4% for those who get the virus. So is it just 1% of God’s people in fear as it should be? No, many are saying we need to stay away from church, lock ourselves in, do nothing, see no one, be safe. Now I know things can happen to us, I have cancer, a nephew of mine has a terrible cancer, both of my parents died of cancer. The survival rate of those with cancer is much, much lower than 99.4%. So, should I be in such fear of cancer I stop my life? Or should I keep on for the Lord, trust in Him, and live my life as directed by His will? That same question needs be applied to this virus.
