Ps 73:1-3
73:1 A Psalm of A’-saph. Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
Why do we so quickly look to the world and even become envious over the actions of the wicked? Like the Psalmist we can say “truly God is good”. Can we even begin to count the ways that God is good to us? But like Israel even in the midst of blessing we tend to look at the world. And as we look soon we wander. Wander away from the God who loves us, wander away from the Savior who died for us, wander back to the world. Christian don’t be envious of the world, they need to be envious of you. Think today of what God has done for you and what is awaiting you. Don’t let your feet slip by looking at the world.
