2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Speaking as a Christian this morning. What a blessing to look back over the time one has been saved and to see how gracious the Lord has been to us as we have grown in Him. I recently found a tape of the first message I preached as the Pastor of the then Cherry Corner Community Church on Dec. 23rd 1984. It is a wonder that anyone returned to hear the second message. Yet God is so good as we give an effort to serve and follow Him. I say those things this morning to encourage the Christian who is trying to follow the Lord, trying to serve the Lord, trying to do the right thing but finds it hard. Remember, God is gracious. That first message did lead to a second, then a third, and now after all these years another one coming tonight and then another on Sunday. Remember, God is gracious.
