Phil 4:10-13 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
KJV
The things a Christian must learn. Paul learned to be abased, to be hungry, to be in need. Coming from his background these must have been very hard lessons for Paul, but Paul learned. We also find that Paul had to learn how to abound. That seems strange because he came from a life of bounty if you would and don’t we all know how to abound? Or do we? Why is it that churches are not full in these troubled times? Why is it that prayer meeting is something that most have no interest in today? Because we have not learned how to abound. The more we have the less we think we need the Lord. Christian, how are you abounding? Have you learned how to abound? More tomorrow.
