October 29th, 2020 by Pastor SolleyDeut 11:13-15 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
15 And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.

More verses about rain this morning because God is blessings us with a good steady rain today. Most in our church have been praying for rain and we need to give thanks when God answers those prayers. It is good to stop and remember who controls the winds and the rain. Those in Washington, those in large cooperation, those who work hard day by day, none of those ones control the rain, God does. So when we need rain we pray and when God sends rain we need to give thanks. But this does not apply to the rain alone. How often do you just stop and thank God for what God has done and is doing for you? I was convicted some time ago about a lack of thanksgiving on my part. Yes, I thank God in prayer daily, but how much? Just how much of your time with the Lord is devoted to giving of thanks? I used to withhold things from my children if they would not say thank you. Doesn’t God deserve that same thanksgiving?
