Phil 1:1-6 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
KJV
Our verse for the next three days is verse six. The Bible tells us we can be confident that Jesus has begun a work in us. (Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:) Do you realize that the work Jesus has begun in us as born again believers follows works that He did for and to us? What are those works? Jesus did a work for us when He died upon the cross for us. (Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.) This work done for us has been done for all who have ever been born into this world. No one will stand before God in judgment and be able to say that God did nothing for them. God sent His Son into this world to die for our sins, to die for your sin, to die for my sin. Never think that God has done nothing for you, that Jesus has done nothing for you. Something has been done for you that can never be measured. The very God of creation, the God that spoke this world into being, the God who holds it all together, that God has done something for you, that God died for you on a cross.
