Heb 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
KJV
The word appointed appears one hundred twenty six times in the Bible, none more important than in our text this morning. Did you know we all have an appointment with death? This differs from other appointments we have in that we don’t know when it is. I have an appointment with a doctor on October 5th at 8:50AM, I know when that it, I marked it down, I will be ready for it. I am not looking forward to it but I know when it is. But my appointment with death, I have no idea when it is. But I must be is ready for it because it could occur any moment, it could even be today. Are you ready for that appointment? The only way one can say yes is if they know Jesus Christ as personal savior. Are you ready? Yesterday in our church service an individual was saved, they made sure they were ready for their appointment with death, their appointment to stand before God. Are you ready today?
