Ps 73:24-26 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
KJV
“Savior, savior, hear my humble cry, while on others thou art calling do not pass me by.” That is a line in a very moving hymn and it is taken in part from the verses above. Who do we have to call on but the Lord? I am increasingly troubled by all that we are seeing today in our nation, especially the disrespect paid to those who stand and serve including our President, but especially the police. When did it become the norm to riot, burn, lout, and murder and it be seen as just a part of the society we live in? If one is not looking above for counsel and waiting for the day that Jesus will come it would be most discouraging. I am thankful this morning that there is none upon the earth that I should desire above Him and I am thankful that when my flesh is about to fail I have one to give strength and peace. Keep looking up dear Christian.
