2 Peter 3:13-14 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

This preacher is longing for the day we will see a new heavens and a new earth. All that we see today makes many of us long for that day even more. But I again go back to the need to be ready for that day. (Verse 14) Last night our President talked about God and country and I found no fault in what he was saying other than this, I wonder why he does not receive the Lord Jesus Christ as His personal savior. One who seems to know so much and is still not ready to meet Jesus face to face goes beyond me. Now I don’t claim to know his heart anymore than he knows mine but I would think if he had gotten saved he would tell about it. But what about us as we see the day approaching? Are we ready to meet Jesus today? Are you saved this morning? If that answer is yes then consider how you are living out your life in these last days. Are you ready to meet Jesus today?
