2 Thess 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Heaven should be a longed for place. I will be speaking about heaven once again this coming Sunday and I am reminded in this verse that haven should be a longed for place. Jesus will be revealed one day, one day soon I hope, and we as believers in Christ should be longing for that day. Why wouldn’t every born again child of God long for heaven? One may not long for heaven as they should if this world has too big a hold upon them. I have been blessed with a good life. Born into a home with loving parents, taken to church from the time I was a baby, saved early in life, blessed with a Christian wife, more blessings with children and now grandchildren. I have been privileged to serve the Lord, have a wonderful church family and although I do have some health issues my Lord has been seeing me through them, I have a good life. Yet I need to be longing for heaven and when at times I am not the world has too big a hold upon me. What is here that will be better than heaven? Are you longing for the day Jesus will be revealed? If not you need to see just how big a hold the world has on you.
