Daily Devotions

Deut 33:26-27 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
KJV
Above is one of the exceeding great and precious promises of God to me, that God will be my refuge and thrust our the enemy that is before me. It was a promise made to Israel as they were about to enter into uncharted territory. The Promised Land was theirs, but they had never been that way before. The land was filled with their enemies, they had many questions and most likely many doubts. But God gave them a precious promise of His presence and His power. The Lord will be our refuge as well if we but turn to Him. How foolish it is to try and go through a day without Him. Every Christian reading this will agree with that and at the same time the majority of them will begin their day without prayer, without talking to God and without allow God to speak to them. No wonder so many have so much trouble so much of the time. He will thrust out the enemy that stands before us and we have many. Why then do we try and fight the battles on our own? I need these promises today, everyday, do you? That answer is yes but they are yours as well as mine to the degree we go to Him for refuge and in prayer ask Him to thrust our the enemy before us.
